We now know that FOX will undoubtedly be promoting Dollhouse with the usual marketing methods (print ads, billboards, internet ads, etc), but they will also be taking a stab at promoting the show virally through ARG (alternate reality gaming). If you don't know what that means..... look it up. As of May 26th 2008, we have 2 websites that have been hinted to fans: http://southlandlabs.com (doesn't work if you add "www.") http://www.adelledewitt.com http://findkimi.com http://profiles.friendster.com/2832100 |

I'm still unsure whether the Southland Labs site is viral or just fan-made, but I guess we'll see in time. Right now, the only clue on that page is in the source code, and it says: "soon. but not yet" The Adelle DeWitt page was posted on the FutureOnFOX blog and is definitely part of the viral campaign. I cannot wait to see if anyone cracks the username/password there. Everyone start trying now! I love the little note about contacting Brink. |

I didn't crack the password but I did find this bit in the source code: Code: <INPUT TYPE=PASSWORD NAME="secretkey"> <INPUT TYPE=HIDDEN NAME="js_autodetect_results" VALUE="0"> <INPUT TYPE=HIDDEN NAME="just_logged_in" value=1> I haven't played around with HTML in a long time, but I think that's the password right there. |

I typed in 'doll_mistress' and 'secretkey' and got this back; Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE, expecting '(' in /f1/content/adelle/public/login.php on line 2 anyone know what it means? x |

No, I think "secretkey" is the name assigned to the correct password. The code also named the username as "login_username". |

When I type in "adelle" for the username and anything else for the password, I get "Wrong Password" as my result. It usually says "Wrong Username/Password" So "adelle" is the username? |

like someone named "Kimi Lassek" said on the fox-blog, the username is adelle, and wipe is pw. if you search for Kimi Lassek (noticed the similarity to Whedons favourite editor?) you find this blog. Sure looks like the dollhouse, if you ask me. |

Someone at the Fox blog got it! username: adelle password: wipe It links to her email inbox, and then an email (contents below) that Topher has sent her about the Southland Labs webiste (the link we already had up there!). I'm sure they'll keep updating her inbox when new viral info comes. Quote: |

Couple things on the FindKimi page -- -First, we now have an email address (Sheridan.Owen@gmail.com) -Second, 897 shows up a couple of times. Odd. -Finally, it looks like there's some tiny text in the header. I found the .gif image in the source code here (http://www.blogblog.com/no897/bg_header.gif), but it doesn't make things much clearer beyond revealing that yes, there is text there. |
